candyland: The Untold Story
Once upon a time in the land on the edge of what we know of space laid the wonderful land called Candylicious or better known as Candyland. It was fun, vibrant, and edible! There was magical king named Kandy King, his wife Kandy Queen and their six children the oldest Nutalia named after peanut brittle, Pepper named after peppermint, Jilly Jean named after jelly beans, Coco after chocolate, Icy named after ice cream, and Lolly after lollipops. They all lived together in beautiful ice cream cone castle. They could eat any candy, ice cream, or cake and not gain weight. But if they ever ate any vegetable or soup it lead to certain death.
They weren’t the only ones in Candyland. The Licorice Lords were mean and stuck up so the Royal Kandy family stayed away from them.
One day, Coco and Icy were riding on their cotton candy unicorns to Milkshake Falls they came across a Licorice Lord. “Hello” he said. “Where are you going to?” “Milkshake Falls” said Icy. “Why don’t you fall into this milkshake.” he said. He dumped his milkshake. “Eww…..” Icy said. “Black licorice flavor.” “Haha!” he said. Before he ran away he snapped his figures behind Coco. Whenever a Licorice Lord snapped behind you would constantly be doing bad things.
Everyday Coco would ride to the Gingerbread Tree and throw cinnamon ice cream at it. She threw cherry bombs on the rainbow bunnies and threw popcorn at the peanut butter dogs.
Once she even drowned a carmel turtoise.
One day Icy confronted Coco. “Coco, you need to stop pulling pranks around the castle and hurting animals.” said Icy. “Dad is getting upset.” I don’t care.” Coco said. “I’ll just run away.” “Fine, I guess this is it.” Icy said.
Coco was serious. She packed up some clothes, bow and arrows, and some of Lolly’s Lollipop lemonade and left the Ice Cream Cone Castle forever.
She went on her unicorn, far away to jelly bean mountains and camped out for the night. Something woke up her up. It was the Licorice Lord. “Get rid of Royal Kandy Family.” the lord said. “So I can take over the land.” She then went back to sleep.
When she woke up and felt she had to get rid of her family. She then went back to the castle. Coco found an old man who sold vegetables and soup on the road back to the castle.. She traded lollipop lemonade for carrot sticks and celery.
When she got back to the castle, she went to Queen Kandy’s room. She was sleeping quietly. Coco pulled out a celery sticks and used magic to blend them into a celery smoothie. She poured the smoothie into her mother’s mouth. While pouring Icy and Kandy King walked and saw what Coco had done. Icy ran to her mother trying to awake and Kandy King snapped his fingers and Coco was out of the trans. “Wake up! Wake up!” yelled Icy. Icy then checked her heartbeat. “ She’s gone.” said Icy. Queen Kandy was dead. The other children then came in. They all yelled at Coco. “How should she be punished?” asked King Kandy. “Turn her into a chocolate monster.” yelled Lolly’s little voice. Everyone agreed. They grabbed Coco and pulled out to a hole near the castle. King Kandy used magic and slowly she melted into mucky chocolate puddler. Some eyes and mouth popped out. It was what Coco had become. “Please forgive me.” the monster said. But the family turned their backs on her.
Well, Nutlia grew up and ran her own peanut brittle farm. Pepper works in Peppermint Forest and runs a candy cane lumber factory. Jilly Jean works in jelly bean mountains. Lolly rules in Lollipop Woods. Icy is queen of Snowflake Valley. And Coco, she will dwell forever in the muddy chocolate pond because of her mistake
I hope enjoyed it. I got the idea from my favorite Broadway show Wicked which is the untold story of the witches of Oz. This is the untold story of the popular game Candyland
